Barter collaboration
A barter collaboration exchanges agreed deliverables, such as a creator post, for a product or service rather than a cash-only fee.
Distinguish an agreement from gifting
A product sent in exchange for an agreed post is a collaboration. A no-obligation PR gift does not secure a publication date or a deliverable. Do not treat every shipment as a booked placement.
Product value does not automatically determine the amount of production or usage rights. Agree on the content, publication and any paid-ad use separately.
Put the scope in writing
Confirm deliverables, timing, approval, shipping and permitted reuse. For campaigns in Poland, promotional content agreed in exchange for products needs clear advertising disclosure.
Review previous work and audience fit through AI creator search. Do not assume smaller creators accept product-only compensation. If the brief is asset production rather than audience distribution, distinguish it from a UGC commission.
